For website - GPs open over Christmas

Dr Andy Withers, GP and clinical chair, NHS Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “It’s always worth reminding people that GP practices are open over the festive period. We have appointments at evenings and weekends so it’s easier for people to see somebody for advice when they need it.

“There are also pharmacies open across our area on the bank holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Pharmacies are a great first place to go for advice on minor illnesses such as tummy aches, coughs and colds or for advice on medicines. People can drop in for advice without the need to book an appointment. There are some pharmacies which open in the evenings and weekends too.”
