There are places available for the Talk Cancer half-day workshops in February aimed at helping you feel confident when talking about Cancer. The events are open to anyone interested in helping communities discuss issues around cancer and screening like NHS staff, community leaders, volunteers, public sector staff and other health workers.
The three-hour sessions are hands-on, interactive and positive and are led by Cancer Research UK expert trainers who have nursing backgrounds. Cancer Research UK is working with the CCGs to raise cancer awareness and to help health and community workers feel confident talking to people about ways to reduce the risk of cancer, spotting cancer early and screening.
Places can be booked by emailing the CCGs’ engagement team at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01274 237605.
