On 19 January 2018, the annual Learning and Innovation event focused on services for children and young people across Bradford district and Craven.

Over 180 people came together to engage, spur imagination and spark innovation in children and young people’s services. Delegates included, system leaders, staff, patients and the public.

The event had three main goals, to:

The day's workshops looked at four themes:

Also integral to the event was a learning zone where delegates could talk to young people to pick up hints and tips on how to use digital and social channels to effectively engage.

The ‘graffiti wall’ and ‘world café’ also provided further opportunities for delegates to come together and share experiences in an informal way. Discussions included the Bradford Beats Bullying campaign and perinatal and infant mental health. Ideas and topics posted on the ‘graffiti wall’ have been shared directly with the Integration and Change Board to be fed into future system planning.

The day was rounded up by young people taking to the stage to share their experiences of health and care services in Bradford and Craven directly with delegates.

Young people have also shared what they love about living in Bradford, take a look at what they had to say:

The Learning and Innovation event was established by the local Integration and Change Board as a way of promoting and sharing innovative practice across the local health and care system.
